Shipping – Akaushi Wagyu Beef

Discounted shipping rates are applicable only where 1 – 3 day ground shipping is available.  Items such as gift certificates/gift cards do not count towards free shipping thresholds. Some items may require an additional cost to ship due to the size of the shipment or rush orders.

Deadlines and Timing of Akaushi Wagyu Beef Orders

For same day shipping the order deadline is 12:00 PM (PST). We ship Monday thru Thursday for Tuesday thru Friday delivery. Orders in the 3 day ground zone are shipped Monday thru Wednesday.  Orders do not ship on Fridays to avoid any unforeseen shipping delays and a chance of your akaushi wagyu beef sitting in a warehouse over a weekend. If you are ordering for a special occasion, we recommend choosing a delivery date at least 1 week prior to your event to allow for any delays and to let your product thaw safely in the refrigerator.  Larger items like roasts and briskets can take 3-4 days to fully defrost.

Thermal Packaging – Keeping Your Akaushi Wagyu Beef Cooler, Longer!

To ensure your akaushi wagyu beef arrives in perfect condition, we pack each order in thermal packaging with dry ice.  We use thermal packaging that is made from 100% post-industrial, pre-consumer cardboard fibers. Unlike other thermal packaging, our recyclable thermal liners contain no cotton or Styrofoam and are 100% curbside recyclable. Our eco-friendly packaging reflects Hook and Cleaver Ranch’s commitment to sustainable practices and environmental responsibility.

Frozen Akaushi Wagyu Beef Shipments

All meat shipped with 1-2 day options should arrive frozen. Shipments that are 3 days should arrive frozen or partially frozen. Once you receive your beef, place it in the refrigerator or freezer immediately upon arrival. Even if your beef is partially thawed, you can place it back in the freezer – it will not affect the quality of your beef.

Addresses

Hook and Cleaver Ranch is not responsible for incomplete or incorrect addresses.  Please double check the address for correctness and make sure any applicable suite, condo, or apt. number is included. Please also include any applicable gate code to ensure timely delivery. If you are sending a gift please ensure the address of your gift recipient is correct and that your gift recipient will be available to accept the delivery. We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes.

Commercial addresses could have delays in delivery with limited hours and no weekend deliveries. Therefore, Hook and Cleaver Ranch recommends shipping your order to a residential address.

Inclement Weather and unforeseen delays

When selecting a delivery date, please allow for a margin of +/-1 day. We strive to meet your requested delivery date, but unforeseen weather conditions and high holiday shipping volumes can affect timing. If a delay causes damage to your order, we would like to hear from you.

If your package is lost or delayed due to carrier negligence, please notify us immediately, and we’ll expedite a replacement order.

Akaushi Wagyu Beef Returns

Your satisfaction is important, and we want you to enjoy our Akaushi Wagyu as much as we do. If you receive an item that you are not satisfied with, if the product received is damaged, or incorrectly shipped, please notify us as soon as possible by phone 888-US-WAGYU (888-879-2498) or email [email protected] within 3 days of delivery (day 1 being the day of delivery). In order to resolve an issue please provide pictures of the box, the shipping label on the outside of the box, pictures of damage and/or mis-shipped items and the packing slip. Please email all requests along with pictures to [email protected].

Due to the perishable nature of many of our items, returned goods will not be permitted unless requested by Hook and Cleaver Ranch. You will be provided with a prepaid shipping label If we request items be returned. All goods must be returned in the original packaging or comparable packaging. All returns must arrive back to Hook and Cleaver Ranch within 15 days of delivery date. Within 5 days of receipt of returned goods, at our discretion, we may offer a full or partial store credit or replacement of product.
